Similar to chronic wounds, skin aging is characterized by dysfunction of key cellular regulatory pathways. The hypoxia‐inducible factor‐1 alpha (HIF‐1α) pathway was linked to both conditions. Recent evidence suggests that modulating this pathway can rejuvenate aged fibroblasts and improve skin regeneration. Here, we describe the application of a novel HIF stimulating factor (HSF™)‐based formulation for skin rejuvenation.
