Q-switched neodymium:yttrium-aluminum garnet laser (Q-switched Nd:YAG laser 1064 nm) is used in dermal pigmentations' removal (dermal melanocytosis or external tattoo ink particles)(1). Other than difficulties like multiple treatment sessions, factors like the tattoo age, site, color, and skin type may influence the final outcome (2-4). This study was aimed to evaluate the efficacy of combining Er: YAG and Q-switched lasers in removing black tattoos compared to Q-switched lasers alone.
