Alopecia areata (AA) is an autoimmune and inflammatory disease characterized by localized or diffuse non‐scarring hair loss. The serum C‐reactive protein (CRP)/albumin ratio (CAR) is a novel inflammatory marker and a significant prognostic indicator in several diseases.
