Cardiac papillary fibroelastomas are benign tumors which may arise from the aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valves. They may also be found in the left ventricular (LV) outflow tract and result in systolic anterior motion. Recently, benign cardiac tumors have been removed using robotic and video-assisted techniques. We present images of a cardiac fibroelastoma excised using videoscopic technology. A 75-year-old female underwent a transesophageal echocardiogram prior to a scheduled orthopedic procedure, and was found to have a 1.5 × 1.2-cm mobile mass at the LV apex between the anterior and posterior papillary muscles (Figures 1A and 1B) which was also seen on a cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (Figure 1C).
