Takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TC) is defined as a temporary and reversible systolic abnormality of the left ventricle's apical area resembling myocardial infarction in the nonexistence of coronary artery disease. Only a few cases have been reported after cardiac operations or after pericardiocentesis.
