Optimal hypothermia strategy for total arch replacement in acute type A aortic dissection (ATAAD) is unclear. A higher temperature during circulatory arrest might reduce tolerance to ischemia for visceral organs. We sought to investigate the effect of hypothermia on visceral protection.
