Intrapartum care is of paramount importance in overall respectful maternity care (RMC). Uterine fundal pressure maneuver (UFPM) is the most controversial obstetric maneuver considered obsolete in many countries. The baseline prevalence of UFPM in our tertiary care teaching hospital with a heavy patient load was 78.4% which was quite high. Our aim was to reduce the prevalence of UFPM by 75% from baseline over a period of 10 months.
