Jung et al. showed that LSM could be a use-ful predictor of HCC development in patients with CHB. 4 Besides, the LSM- HCC score, based on the values of LSM, age, serum albumin and HBV DNA level, was accurate in predicting HCC in a prospec-tive cohort study of 1,555 consecutive patients with CHB. 5 Hence, it is our recommendation that the correlation of LSM used to predict HCC risks in patients with CHB should also be assessed.
