Recent evidence showed a reduced activity of the lysosomal acid lipase (LAL) in patients with non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and cryptogenic cirrhosis (CC). However, the relationship between LAL activity and liver fibrosis has never been investigated.
