Editor – We read with interest about ‘the perils of teaching medical triads’ as discussed by Manzoor and Redelmeier. The controversy surrounding this subject is one we had not previously considered and it was refreshing to read about a teaching method we have been privy to in a negative light. Although this article has its merits, the evidence of which we have experienced personally, we feel that it is a gross oversimplification.
