We read with interest the article by Weurlander et al. (1), exploring Swedish medical students' concerns relating to emotionally challenging situations during medical training. As fourth year medical students studying in London, we can see that it is common for distressing situations to arise, and that the uncertainty they cause is often never formally addressed. We believe that more support is needed for students.
