Polymicrobial peritonitis (PP) in end-stage kidney disease peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients is seen in 8% of peritonitis cases and can be associated with surgical causes, historically resulting in 70% of catheters removed. Management can be challenging with catastrophic consequences when no surgical causes are immediately evident. Herein we describe such a case and propose a new management approach.
