editor,Lewybody disease (LBD) encompasses two clinicopathological syn-dromes associated with Lewy bodies (LB): Parkinson ’ s disease and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). 1 Both disorders share prodromal symptoms such as anxiety and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (RBD), which precede the disorders by years or decades before the clinical criteria are ful fi lled. We encountered a patient with late-onset panic disorder who subsequently developed DLB. Panic disorder preced- ing the onset of Parkinson ’ s disease and DLB have been reported. 2 – 4 However, our report is the fi rst case of autopsy-con fi rmed DLB with late-onset panic disorder as the initial presentation. The patient ’ s family provided informed consent for publication of this report
