F IGURE 1 F IGURE 2 A 16yearold girl presented with a 6month history of slightly pruritic and burning papules on the medial sides of the right and left thumbs, index fingers, and forearms. The eruption first appeared in March after running outdoors for track practice. Past medical history included recurrent styes requiring surgery for which she had been taking doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for the previous 9 months. On physical examination, involving the medial surfaces of the right and left index fingers, thumbs, and forearms, there were symmetrical, brightly erythematous, slightly scaly papules coalescing into linear plaques.
