, and Kaposi sarcoma, each with distinct histopathology. The histopathological finding of fibrosis surrounding the vessels and aggregates of neutrophils are very important for making an accurate diagnosis of late-stage EED. 12 Dapsone is considered the first-line treatment for EED, 8 however, given the potential side effects including hemolytic anemia and drug hypersensitivity syndrome, other therapies including topical and systemic steroids and tetracyclines have been used. EED of the hand has been successfully treated with minocycline, which was believed to be capable of inhibiting neutrophil chemotaxis. 13 EED can be challenging to distinguish clinically from similar condi-tions. Dermoscopy and histopathology can help identify EED. Recognizing and treating early EED lesions will help avoid secondary scarring.
