In the article entitled "Painless rash in a transplant patient" by Reis J et al., (1) published in this journal under "Images in Transplant Infectious Disease", the authors have published the image of Majocchi's granuloma and have pointed out to the existence of two distinct entities of dermal infection by dermatophytes namely Majocchi's granuloma and deep dermatophytosis. As the authors have given a clear image of Majocchi's granuloma for the readers to get familiarized, we wish to present the image of "deep dermatophytosis" in a transplant patient to complete the spectrum of clinical presentation of dermal dermatophytic infection.
