Abstract The genus Apoplophora (Oribatida, Apoplophoridae) was represented by three species in China prior to this work. In this study, a new species, Apoplophora filiformis sp. nov., is described from Tongguling, Hainan Island. New localities of known species from China are presented. An updated key to world species of the genus is provided to facilitate the further study on this group.
