Abstract The results of field (bypass) tests of fittings made of 13KhFA steel in oilfield media with a high content of CO 2 , H 2 S, and Cl – are presented. The corrosion resistance of the branches made of 13KhFA steel is shown to be two to three times higher than that of traditionally used 09G2S steel. Intense development of bacterial corrosion in steeply curved bends is detected.
