The values calculated for the electron-to-positron conversion coefficients in a form differential with respect to the energy of product positrons and with respect to the solid angle of their emission, this being the most important feature of positron production in thick converter targets, are analyzed and are compared with relevant experimental data. This analysis is performed for a needle-like beam of electrons incident normally to the converter that have energies between 10 and 1000 MeV, positron emission along this beam, and converters having different thicknesses and atomic numbers.
