The UK’s participation in a new pan-European programme to diagnose and treat complex diseases of rare or low prevalence may be at risk after Brexit, experts have said. Launched on 1 March, the European Reference Networks (ERNs) link more than 900 medical teams in centres of excellence across the continent to enable doctors and other healthcare professionals to collaborate and share information on rare diseases.
