Most major US medical groups have denounced the Senate bill to “repeal and replace” the 2010 Affordable Care Act, which was released by the Senate Republican leadership late last week. The groups charge that the legislation would increase the number of people without insurance and force those with coverage to pay higher premiums and more out of their own pockets for skimpier plans.
