The UK government acted unlawfully in locking up too many torture victims in immigration detention centres, a High Court judge has ruled.1 Mr Justice Ouseley backed a legal challenge by seven detainees who were locked up during the asylum process, despite concerns among doctors that they had previously suffered torture.
