Medical journals, researchers, academic institutions, and funders must share responsibility for improving research integrity, senior academic editors have told MPs. Giving evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee’s inquiry into research integrity on 21 November, medical editors said that the push for greater research transparency required a commitment from everyone involved in academic publishing.
