A doctor from Pakistan who blamed a misunderstanding about differences in “cultural norms” for blinding him to a “red light” from a student nurse whose breast he grabbed has been suspended for 12 months by a medical practitioners tribunal. Imran Qureshi, 44, was a locum senior house officer at Manchester’s Trafford General Hospital in June 2015 when he told the nurse, who was 21, that he was unhappy in his marriage and wanted an affair.
