Frank Fairweather started his long and distinguished career at the Ipswich group of hospitals before returning to the Middlesex Hospital as a pathologist in 1956. He became chief medical adviser and consultant pathologist at the Benger Laboratories in 1962 while also sharing his growing expertise with the Royal College of Surgeons as honorary senior lecturer.
