An associate specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology has been struck off, after a medical practitioners tribunal found that he performed a vaginal inspection without informed consent, asked the patient if it made her want to have sex, and offered to install pornography on her computer. Iftekhar Ahmed later called the woman at home to again suggest that he come over and install pornography on her computer, the tribunal found. Ahmed had two genitourinary medicine consultations at Princess Royal Community Health Centre in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, in 2013 and 2015 with the woman, named only as “Patient A.” Her diagnosis was vulvovaginitis.
