Doctors in Wales will receive a larger pay rise than their colleagues in England, the Welsh government has announced. All doctors will receive a 2% increase to their base pay, backdated to 1 April 2018, with GPs receiving a further 2% increase and specialty and associate specialist doctors an additional 1.5%.
