A GP who covertly recorded a visit by Care Quality Commission inspectors and then posted the video to YouTube and his practice website, along with comments critical of the regulator, has been suspended from the UK medical register for two months. Hendrik Beerstecher, 55, refused to stop the video recording when the inspectors realised it was happening and failed to take down his online videos of CQC inspectors when asked. Beerstecher told the medical practitioners tribunal that he grew frustrated when he learnt that the CQC planned to publish its report on the inspection without considering a list he had sent of what he called factual inaccuracies.
