We read the paper on endoscopic findings of eosinophilic oesophagitis (EoE) successfully treated with a short-term-6-food-group elimination diet and reintroduction therapy with great interest.1 The authors have described concisely on how EoE was diagnosed in a child and successfully treated. We would like to draw attention on EoE as a feature of atopic march (AM) among children. EoE is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disorder characterised by oesophageal dysfunction resulting from infiltration of eosinophil into the oesophageal mucosal epithelium. It is a part of wide-spectrum food allergy characterised by T helper-2 (Th-2) type immune reaction (speculate atopy-associated disorder).
