I was very concerned to read the article ‘Let’s give vets’ mundane work to nurses’ ( VR , 9 March 2019, vol 184, p 299). Although the concept that nurses should do more clinical work is worthwhile, the way in which Simon Innes described the idea was very poorly worded for the following reasons.
