The much anticipated review of ‘under our care’ by the RCVS, alongside its evolving stance on remote prescribing, prompts us to write on behalf of the Arwain Vet Cymru project. We at Arwain Vet Cymru are in the process of rolling out training support for a national network of veterinary prescribing champions across Wales, with every practice providing farm animal services in Wales given the opportunity to have a representative in the network. We have over 80 per cent of practices actively engaged in the training, which culminates in the implementation of a bespoke antimicrobial stewardship intervention in each participating practice.
