Abstract: A total of 10 cannulated barrows with an average body weight of 55.99 ± 3.73 kg were assigned to test diets containing either full-fat flaxseed (FFS), expeller-pressed flaxseed meal (expeller-FM), or solvent-extracted flaxseed meal (solvent-FM). The standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of methionine and threonine was higher (P < 0.05) in FFS than in expeller-FM. Similarly, the SID of crude protein (CP) and threonine was higher (P < 0.05) in FFS than that in solvent-FM. However, expeller-FM and solvent-FM had greater (P < 0.05) contents of SID CP, arginine, leucine, phenylalanine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, and serine than FFS.
