Through metabolic subtyping, metabolic vulnerabilities can be exploited for developing efficacious treatments. A glycolytic subtype indicates poor survival in patients with pancreatic cancer, whereas a cholesterogenic subtype correlates with better outcomes potentially due to more energy expenditure.
