Lesser White-fronted Geese are a long-distance migratory species; they are known to visit northern and north-eastern regions, with occasional occurrences in the west; we report the goose sighting from Hadinaru Kere, Mysuru, Karnataka. This is the species first occurrence in the state and southern India, expanding its known distribution range.
