at Day 28, compared with baseline. This improvement was signi fi cantly greater than the ef fi cacy observed in the group that was treated with 12.5 mg twice a day ( P =0.0976, not reaching statistical signi fi cance). These fi ndings further underscore the pivotal role of P2X3 receptors in RCC. The ef fi cacy of P2X3 antagonists correlates positively with the alleviation of cough symptoms, providing a molecular basis for targeted therapy.
