Anemone pendulisepala Lee (2003: 2), a species endemic to Korea, has been widely recognized in taxonomic literature (e.g. Lee 2006, Lee et al. 2006, 2012, Oh et al. 2016). However, its name was not validly published by Lee (2003), because, contrary to Art. 40.7 of ICN (McNeill et al. 2012), he did not indicate the herbarium in which the type was conserved.
