Bulbophyllum obtusangulum Z.H. Tsi has long been treated as a synonymy of B. lepidum (Blume) J.J. Sm., which is broadly distributed in Southeast Asia. Hu & Barretto) Z.H. Tsi, which was previously regarded as endemic to Hong Kong.
