A 12-year-old female with no past medical history presented to the Pediatric Gastroenterology Clinic with progressive dysphagia to solids for 1 year. Her symptoms were accompanied by a 5to 7-pound weight loss. She managed her symptoms by eating very small meals consisting of soft foods and liquids. She denied halitosis, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, abdominal pain, hematochezia, or melena. The patient had been prescribed omeprazole in the past for her symptoms with minimal relief.
