Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have the potential to transform radiology. Despite Canada’s leadership in deep learning and growing interest among radiologists, the prevalence of AI initiatives in Canadian academic radiology departments has not been evaluated.Anenvironmental scanwill highlight strengths and opportunities in the Canadian radiology AI ecosystem. The objective of this study was to conduct an environmental scan of initiatives related to AI education, research, and industry partnerships in Canadian academic radiology departments. We hypothesized that AI-related initiatives would be common in Canadian radiology departments.
