Eris Cani, BS, PharmD, has been appointed as an assistant professor of pharmacy practice, Department of Pharmacy Practice at Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP). Dr Cani’s area of specialty is infectious diseases, and her affiliate site where she will provide clinical pharmacy services and precept pharmacy students will be at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City. Her practice areas of interest include the pharmacotherapy of resistant infections, human immunodeficiency virus, and antimicrobial stewardship. Dr Cani obtained her bachelors in biochemistry at Temple University School of Science and Technology and her PharmD degree at Temple University School of Pharmacy. She completed a postgraduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a postgraduate year 2 (PGY2) infectious diseases pharmacy residency at Sunny Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr Cani is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy ID-PRN.
