MalekzadehFard et al. [1] recently investigated free vibration and buckling of soft core cylindrical sandwich panels with a magnetorheological fluid layer in the facesheets. They used first-order shear deformation theory for the face sheets and displacement fields of the second model of Frostig and Thomsen [2] for the core. A series method is used to obtain the first four frequencies and buckling modes of the structure. However, there are some flaws in this paper that should be considered:
