Dear Editor, We read with interest the article by Veritti et al.1 titled “Infection control measures in ophthalmology during the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak: A narrative review from an early experience in Italy.” First, we would like to thank the authors for reporting their practice on such an important area of ophthalmology. The authors presented various strategies to reduce virus transmission mainly at eye clinic settings ranging from patient triage, environmental control, and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). Similarly, Borrelli et al.2 also shared their experience to curb COVID-19 in a tertiary eye care center in Italy by adopting three preventive measures such as patient screening via phone call, limitation of patient’s accompanying person to the hospital and enhanced infection control in the eye clinic. On the other hand, we would also like to highlight the ophthalmic surgery management strategies by a Malaysia tertiary eye care center during the COVID-19 pandemic in contrast to the articles by Veritti et al. and Borrelli et al.
