, We report an unusual adverse effect of vertepor fi n photodynamic therapy (PDT). A 57-year-old man underwent half fl uence PDT in both eyes for chronic central serous chorior-etinopathy. The procedure was uneventfully performed by an experienced clinician in a patient with fully dilated pupils. The same day, the patient complained of a distorted pupil and examination revealed a corectopia and focal area of iris depigmentation in both eyes, left more than right. Resolution of subretinal fl uid was obtained after 1 month without noticeable retinal damage. The iris changes remained the same (Figure 1) without other symptoms. The pattern of the lesions (temporal in the right eye and nasal in the left eye) and the chronology of the events are consistent with a PDT-induced injury to the margin of the iris in both eyes.
