A male child presented with the evolution of partially involuting congenital hemangioma (PICH) of the face during the first 3 months of life. PICH is rare particular subgroup of soft tissue vascular tumours and should be differentiated from other congenital vascular tumours, such as rapidly involuting congenital hemangioma (RICH) and noninvoluting congenital hemangioma (NICH). It has overlapping features with RICH and NICH. The size of the tumour is maximal at birth and shows postnatal regression and incomplete spontaneous involution. These tumours are sporadic and may occur anywhere. Etiology is unknown. Prenatal detection by ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging is possible. Prognosis is generally good except in some cases with risk of ulceration and hemorrhage.
