This special issue focuses on friction coefficient improvement on asphalt ice layers, tribological investigations of canola nano-oil, dynamic friction properties of a hydrogel, elastic cylindrical line contact analysis considering friction, analysis, and optimization of tribological properties of coatings/composites/alloys, and investigations of nano-MQL assisted turning. Further, the research articles compiled in this special issue also focused on enhancement of the tribological/machining performance with the addition of nanoparticles in biolubricants, coatings, composites, and biofluids. These research articles on engineering tribology open up opportunities for value-added developments and pave the way for the design of lubricants/materials/fluids towards sustainability and impacting society.
