EuroHeartCare is the annual congress of the Association of Cardiovascular Nursing and Allied Professions (ACNAP). This year’s meeting, the 20th since its start in 2000 (as the Annual Spring Meeting on Cardiovascular Nursing), was situated in the beautiful city of Milan in Italy. During two days, more than 600 healthcare professionals from more than 40 countries, with an interest in learning more about cardiovascular care, gathered to listen to presentations, view posters and meet new and old friends. Once more the organizers should be congratulated for pulling together an interesting programme, attracting top presenters who are experts in their fields and for finding a great location. The meeting was, as always, intense but some leisure time to view the city of Milan was included and highly recommended. New for this year was the ACNAP Speed Mentoring where selected applicants had the opportunity to interact with a leader in their specialty during a 20-minute interview. In this unique platform, short and long relationships were formed while renowned professionals who have had successful careers shared their experiences and provided advice and recommendations about career development.
