The aim of orthognathic surgery is to ideally reposition the jaws in the facial architecture. In that goal, the surgeon usually uses a surgical splint. The principle is to correct the spatial anomalies of the first jaw, whether maxilla or mandible, using the second jaw as a reference through the surgical splint prepared in the laboratory, then to place the second jaw in occlusion on the first one. The surgical splints were prepared in the laboratory for decades, but the progress of 3D printing has made that these splints have been little by little designed on 3D software and 3D printed. The validity of this process has been established. However, the available software is complex, time-consuming, and expensive. This can be a hindrance to some users who do not want to confuse the goals with the means. The author has developed with the help of the ONE ORTHO company (Parc Inopolis, 206 Route de Vourles, 69230 Saint-Genis-Laval France) an online enhanced virtual articulator allowing to establish, in a mandible first approach, the intermediate position of the mandible compared to the initial maxilla of the patient. The online site allows to download this setup as an STL (stereolithography format) model for surgical splint drawing and printing. This planning tool is a regular online website accessible in a browser from any device. There is no need for high-end expensive computers. The information put online is as follows:
