“Looking at projects as an organizational form invites a network view to understand the dynamics of the systems that are associated with this type of temporary organization. Projects come into existence to combine diverse inputs into a unique output. Projects must, therefore, coordinate people, materials, and knowledge and the flow of these resources. Moreover, these ‘project systems’ can be represented as a network.”
