Guasp et al.1 address the central clinical issue of how to identify autoimmune psychosis (AP) in first-episode psychosis (FEP). They recommend general MRI, EEG, and antibody screening in FEP and additional CSF testing in patients with neurologic features, therapy resistance or adverse effects to antipsychotics, and a history of herpes, viral encephalitis, or tumors.
