To the Editor: We read with great interest the recent article published by Saad et al1 that aimed to determine risk factors of developing secondary hydrocephalus (HCP) after a posterior fossa tumor (PFT) resection in a multicentric retrospective study of 617 patients. Indeed, up to 7% of adults and 40% of children operated on for PFT may develop HCP requiring a second procedure for extrathecal fluid diversion. Thus, a better determination of risk factors for developing HCP could help to prevent readmission, unnecessary invasive procedure, or prolonged hospitalization stay.
